Throughout his life, Henry VIII mastered the art of display, and created a court known for its ostentation. In an ironic twist, the marker of his final resting place is simple: a marble slab. Though the marker was first commissioned by Prince George, it wasn't created until the reign of George's brother, William IV, in 1837. 736 votes.

Henry VIII's body rests in a vault under the Quire in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle near his third wife, Jane Seymour. Intriguingly, the sarcophagus that was originally intended to form part of Henry's final resting place was eventually used for the tomb of Lord Nelson in St Paul's Cathedral.
